3 Crucial Things You Need To Build Your List

An email list is one of the major keys to having and running a successful business. From your list, you will get your targeted customer, which is great as it means you have a group of people who you know have an interest in what you have to show and sell since they have willingly signed in for your list. These are the people who have liked what they have seen on your site and have decided they want to see more and maybe even purchase a product or service you have to offer.

Building a list may take a bit of patience and some strategies but in doing so you create a world of potential buyers in your target market. Don’t be afraid to put in the effort to take your business to a new level. If traffic increase and good profits are what you want, an opt-in list will do wonders for your business venture. Here are 3 things you should be sure to do to create a list prospects and then turn them into raving fans.
1) Put up an enticing opt-in page with an irresistible offer.
A good opt-in page to build you list of subscribers is not hard to do. These days especially with programs that can help you build these kinds of pages easily. This offer is often referred to as a lead magnet. It could be a checklist, 2pg Guide, an Ebook (eg. http://time.visioninpurpose.com). Let them know a little about what you are offering then provide a space for them to give you their contact information in order to get your offer. This web form will automatically save and send you the inputted data to a database. As more people sign up, your list will grow.

2) Make your opt-in page simple and offer enticing for your prospects
Your opt-in page or even your homepage may be your first impression to potential clients, so you want to be sure that you show each visitor why they should want to know more from you and about you. Make it easy for your prospect to understand what they need to do in order to get your lead magnet. For example, “Simply enter you name and email in the space below….” Before your prospect will give you their precious information, you’ll need to capture their interest. It needs to be information that will solve a problem they are experiencing and be sure to give great value in the process. Be sure to use videos, pictures and other images that will attract your prospect.

3) Keep a clean and private list.
You never want to lose the trust your subscribers have given you by opting in. You want to keep in touch or stay connected to be top of mind, but you don’t want to overdo it by bombarding their inbox with tons of messages. At the same time, you will want to stay in contact so that you’re not forgotten. Continue to provide value to your list so that you establish not only trust but become an expert in your subscribers mind. Remember to protect your list and keep it private, in other words don’t give your list to someone else who might spam them. That’s the fastest way to have people unsubscribe from your list. By the way, it’s normal to get a certain amount of unsubscribers so don’t let that discourage you.

Always be sure to treat your list with respect. Find out what they want and give it to them through your product and services. Become the go to person they need for your particular industry. A good reputation will drive in more traffic and subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers you already have.
